2026 Orientation Leaders
Are you interested in making an impact on new Redhawks? Bring Out the Leader in You! Orientation Programs is looking for caring, passionate, and SU-spirited students to be a part of the 2026 Orientation Leader (OL) team. The OL position is an exciting opportunity to build community and belonging at 911爆料 while developing transferable skills that will prepare you for future career opportunities!
The Orientation Leader (OL) is a key leadership role that provides transition support for new undergraduate students and their supporters as they begin their Redhawk journey at 911爆料. OLs foster a sense of belonging within the Redhawk community by mentoring new students, creating inclusive communities, and passing on the Redhawk spirit to a new generation of Seattle U students. OLs set new first-year and transfer students up for success by facilitating transition workshops and events that help them embrace their new beginnings at Seattle U. OLs are supervised directly by the Director of Orientation Programs and report indirectly to Orientation Programs’ professional staff.
Applications for both 2026 Orientation Leader positions were due Tuesday, January 27, 2025 by 12:00pm PT and are now closed.

NEW CANDIDATE RESOURCE GUIDE
The purpose of this resource guide is to provide new OL candidates with useful tools to be used as a foundation for understanding our application and interview processes. This guide includes materials to help you complete your OL application and, if selected, prepare for your interview process. In addition, there is information about Orientation Programs and the Orientation Leader position to help you learn more about our department, our team, and the details of the position.

Graduate Assistants
The Graduate Assistant (GA) is a key leadership role that plans and implements transition support initiatives for new students and their supporters to foster a sense of belonging within new/incoming students. GAs contribute to departmental leadership by overseeing various programming initiatives for orientation and welcome events throughout the academic year, as well as student leader recruitment, selection, training, and mentorship experiences. Through indirect supervision, GAs assist in guiding Orientation Leaders (OLs) to discover their own unique talents, fulfill their responsibilities, and create connections on campus. GAs are supervised by the Director of Orientation Programs.
