NSF Update: Demystifying the National Science Foundation in a new federal landscape

Join the ORSP for an overview of recent changes to National Science Foundation (NSF) funding priorities, organizational structure, and review process, as well as tips for strategically positioning for success with the ‘new’ NSF. Participants are invited to join a short presentation (12:30-1p) and/or open office hours with ORSP staff (1-1:30p). Topics include:

  • NSF’s current funding priorities, structure, and merit review process
  • Identifying your NSF ‘home’
  • NSF programs that are particularly well-suited for the SU context, including the Research at Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) program
  • ORSP resources and support available to grant-seekers
  • Insights into developing and writing a competitive proposal
